If your are growing vegetables in pots, remember to keep them watered and lightly fertilized. Putting eggshells or tums into your tomato pots will help keep calcium in the soil and help prevent blossom rot on your tomatoes.
Give your tomato plants a little shake in the morning or take a small brush and touch the blooms, yes you are doing the job of pollenating.

A few times during the summer deadheading (taking off the dead blooms) and even cutting back your plants will keep them neat and fresh for the entire growing season.

When watering hanging baskets remember to water slowly until the basket drips out from the bottom. Then water again when dry to the touch. The warmer the weather the more you will have to water. Also remember that when it rains it does not water your basket. The plant acts like an umbrella and sheds more of the rain than what goes into the basket.
